ありがとうって

Watching Ken Takakura's last movie "Dearest" , I was moved by one of his lines "Thank you" to his recently-lost wife; it was such a deep, hearty thank you to the loved and missed one.
When you are losing someone, someone is passing away, can you tell him/her thank you? It would be the best if you could while he/she is here in this world...

すぐに目から汁が出るので、健さんの「あなたへ」の中の「ありがとう」ってセリフにも我知らぬうちに・・・
簡単そうで、意外に言えない、ずいぶん後でやっと心の底から出てくるのが「ありがとう」なのかもしれない。

these days

I don't mind staying at home, or rather prefer staying home with Koma.
(Well, ideally with more cats plus her)

After all I know I need only a few things/ beings.
I just have to move for them. Knowing that makes me feel kind of comfortable.

燕の季節

デルフィニウム、ナデシコ、カーネーション

カーネーションってナデシコ科だったのか。そういえば似てる。

デルフィニウムはイルカの泳ぐ姿を連想してそう名付けられたらしいけど

日本では飛燕草、というらしい。

I heard the plant was named after dolphins, associated with them swimming.

In Japan we call it 飛燕草, which name means flowers looking like flying swallows.

20 years have passed since

... I encountered and brought Koma home.
She's been doing fine and looks lovely (the photo didn't capture that well enough), often roaring soooo loud as to be heard in the neighborhood.

２０年前の１月末（25~28日あたりだった気がする）にコマと出会ったのでした。「ウチノネコはアンタより年上なんじょ」
って言うと、びっくりする高校生。笑
（人間の年齢に換算したらもっとびっくりだわなw）
近所に響き渡る声で吠えるのがちょっとアレですが、それ以上の異常は今のところ見当たらず、元気に過ごしています。
それに引き換え、人間側のへたり具合と言ったら・・・
悲しみやら不安やらはどこ吹く風のわがままいっぱいのコマッピドゥ、素敵で無敵だ。

いいもん、チェキがあれば。アンタなんてもう知らない！なんて思ってたらこれやもんな。いけるやん。わたし、好きですよ、この仕上がり。ああ、また買ってしまうことになるのね、ポラロイドフィルムbyインポッシブル・・・

I almost gave up for the idea of using SX-70 with IMPOSSIBLE film. I had not got any satisfying results. That was the same with the  new formula film they had released. But suddenly, I got this. I love this. (I know it's not very good photo; I mean the texture and colors and tones.) Well, I will go on using both of my loved instant cameras: instax mini 90 & SX-70!
