Hiroshima
HIROSHIMA; w/HOLGA 120S

I never want to live in horror of NUKE, nor do I think of A-bombing on the two cities was  "necessary good" or even "necessary evil".

BTW these days I can't help thinkig that this global warming & extraordinary heat wave is due to the repeated nuclear-bomb tests around the world. I watched again a TV documentary program on nuke and got frightened to see the video of the tests; Millions of lives were deprived.
I say absolutely NO to NUKE.

Today it is fine, too hot, this year again.

  1. I was born/raised in the U.S. and I dont think it was necessary either.

  3. I can't imagine how anyone could think that killing thousands of innocent people would be necessary under any circumstance. Images like these remind us of the terrible mistakes that previous generations have made...very sad.

    Thanks for sharing your comment.
I'm glad you think that way.
Nuke is the worst invention ever.

    @TOYO
    そうだったんですね。
    私はどちらの都市にも直接縁はなかったけれど
    なぜか広島の話はこどものころからすごくのしかかるものを感じてました。
    今は広島に義妹ができたので、ほんと他人事じゃないです。

Thanks for your comment, Jonathan! I feel the same way: I couldn't believe how they looked excited to see the results of the tests... I almost couldn't endure seeing the traces and photos of human-made disaster at the Peace Memorial Museum in Hiroshima (& at the one in Nagasaki, which I visited on my school travel). It's really the worst cruelty.
Now the world is on the tightrope of "eye to eye, teeth to teeth". Can't understand why they are killing (or trying to kill) each other.
I hope the world will be a better, peaceful place full of love and compassion; that we will be able to go anywhere to take photos and laugh together:)

  7. Nuke is a man-made mass destructive weapon. It should not be repeated any longer. The same goes to the BP's oil spill. We, the humans always learn from our own mistakes. Let's hope for the tomorrow. Hope and peace for the future for everything on this mother Earth :)

    Love always,

    Hana

  8. Yes, I absolutely agree with you.
We have to learn and know negative asides, and become wise from them.
Never again will the tragedy both for us humans and all the living things & the earth be repeated. I hope so.
