another (lovely) day for coffee

Went to Kyoto after 3 months last time I visited the place, for the first time in spring in these 2 years. (I can't believe myself that I didn't have a chance to go there last spring!) It was a perfect day: cherry blossom was at full bloom there, nice weather "hanagumori", though it was not fine with clear sky, I felt as if I could walk along Kamogawa River for ever! And I managed to visit my favorite cafe and one which I have long wanted to visit, both of which serves coffee roasted by my fav coffee bean roaster:) The coffee was deep roasted, bitter and sweet, had rich flavor, suited my taste perfectly! I hadn't had his coffee for long, was dying to have some, so for me yesterday was a perfect day not so much for sakura as for coffee;p
I am still tired from walking all the long way (I walked at least 12km!), the muscles in the legs ache, but I'm happy in the aroma of his coffee:))

Oh, cherry blossoms were really beautiful, of course!!

  1. Aw, I wish I knew about this cafe! Kyoto is so beautiful right now isn't it? We did a lot of walking too on our last day there, over five miles! I hope you had a great time. I'm thinking I'll rent a bicycle next time I visit :)

  2. I should have told you about the cafe! It is a very nice place, maybe different from cafes in the U.S., or many other cafes in Japan. So you must visit Kyoto again, maybe in autumn?;DD

Wow, 5 miles... hmmm, about 8 km, which's a long way too! Did you take a long bath and give your legs a good massage? (which I did last night;p)
Yes, I'm all for your idea of renting a bike in Kyoto! It's the best way to get around the city, I guess!

While on the plane flying back, all we could talk about was visiting again! I really want to come back during Japan's fall season =)

    Yep, ofuro!!:DD
For me ofuro is a special treat, super-relaxing time!:))

Haha, you two seem to be into Japan;) In fall you would find another attraction of Japan with no doubt!:D You can also enjoy other kind of food, too.

    @hiro
    旅するといつもこんな感じ^^
    カメラ数個持ってとにかく歩くよー。
    そゆ時じゃないとちーーーとも歩かんし>w<
    そそ、あの1杯目のこってりコーヒにすごく疲れを癒された!!
    ここ、ホットでもこのグラスに入れてくれるよー。あ、ホットでポットで頼んだ時だったかも。
    今は喉を酷使したあとなのではちみつ+生姜すりおろしのあと、ハーブティコース中ぜよ。

    @たびねこ
    昨日の京都は花曇りの後青空も見えて
    まことにお花見日和でした♪
    京都はもはやコーヒとセット。コーヒがないとメインを食べ損ねた感じに・・・笑
    そういえば、昨日はまともな食事はしなかった!>w<

    わぉ!!!
    四国、決まったんですね〜!やったー、おめでとうございます!(って私が主催者みたいな。ぷ)
    うんうん、香川はうどんと島でしょう。<うどんが先かっ!>m<
    うどん通?が周りにいろいろいるので、しっかりリサーチして情報お渡ししますねー^^
    あと、香川はぜひ北浜アリーのumieへ。(kiritoriに何度も登場してるあのカフェです)
    徳島のおススメリスト、あらためてメールでお伝えします^^

    そうそう、minimal cafeに行った時に淡水+三峡も。あれっ!?たびねこさん、九ナンチャラ(漢字がないし〜!)に行かれたんでは?三峡でしたっけ?
    でもたびねこさんはやっぱり何か特別なものを醸し出してる、猫が好きな何かを!!笑
    わたし、台湾では、お店以外ではそれほど猫に遭遇しなかったですもん。涙

  7. Hola!

Yay, I have my internet connection!!! This data card works perfect and so convenient ;) Love it!

Today is a big day for my dad. Gotta get up now and go to a hospital! He looked good yesterday although he was under the pressure of the surgery so much. well, tomorrow, everything changes. Let's see how it goes...!

  8. Morning♪
Relieved to hear you've got your internet connection:)) whew!

I walk a lot indeed when I go somewhere... kind of to make up for my everyday lack of exercise;pp haha.
One of the coffee shop I mention is located on Kawaramati Dori, across the street from "Demachi Yunyu Syokuhin":) but a bit hard to find perhaps;)) Well, I suppose you'll find it!
But you'd prefer the other shop...hmmm, I can't explain exactly where it is or how to get there. But you'll find it from its address, I guess.

BTW it is today your father gets a surgery! I hope and believe he will get over it and get well soon! Good luck:)) (ってなんだか軽い気がするけれど、でも、うまくいきますように!!)

    Hang in there!
