Here in Japan, it is 'Daikan', which word is used in an old calendar, meaning the coldest time in the year.

I have been sorting my old photos, throwing away many of them. But there are too many and I'm already tired, at a loss how to finish it off, or rather I doubt that it will come to an end.

I left a lot of things unattended, just leaving them withered as time goes by with dust gathering on them. I  throw such things away at last. Precious memories only stay in my heart, though some of them perhaps go away. That's OK for me.

コマさんはこの正月もつくニャン（つくね：元の名をクチン）が刺激になったのか、この21年食べたことないものを次々とお食べになった。
白菜(芯が好み)、大根、蕪、里芋(これはおでんのさつま揚げの中に入ってた)、ゴボウ、マッシュルーム。
そんなにたくさん食べるわけじゃないけど、ものによっては、もっとおくれやす、と催促する。
人がおさんどんしてる時、食卓に着いた時、とにかく何かもらわないと絶対に気がすまない超おいやし系コマさん。頼もしい。
つくニャンにもそこそこ教育して差し上げたんよね。笑

コマとつくねのフィルム写真は撮ってないので、似た色の猫さん達の写真。
